The Voyage June 201226 April 2012

A spectacular free event called The Voyage will take place in Birmingham from 21 June 2012 - 24 June 2012. This will be an amazing sight! An enormous ship will sail into the centre of Victoria Square docking itself beside the city's Town Hall.

If you'd like to watch The Voyage and stay in style in Birmingham, we currently have availability for those nights.

The Voyage, part of the Cultural Olympiad, will take place in Victoria Square which is just minutes away from Staying Cool at the Rotunda

You'll be able to watch the action unfold onboard the ship and be caught up in the atmosphere on the ground, where seagulls swoop and travellers prepare to embark on their journey. When the ship sets sail, the Town Hall will be transformed by spectacular projected imagery and the city's skyline will become a dream of undiscovered worlds.

Professional dancers and aerialists will join forces with a huge choir, live musicians and more than 140 community performers to transform the Square and tell the story.

This outdoor multimedia spectacle is created byMotionhouse, one of the UK's foremost dance theatre companies, and world-renowned physical theatre company Legs On The Wall, from Australia.

'The company blasts physical theatre into a new and triumphant dimension.'

The Sun Herald, Australia, on Legs On The Wall

'A fascinating experience... an assault on the sense, amazing.'

Manchester Evening News on Motionhouse

Produced by Birmingham Hippodrome, and with original film projections from award winning Logela Multimedia, The Voyage is a free event for the whole family.

Olympic Football Offer25 April 2012

Six of the London 2012 football venues actually lie outside London. We have the perfect accommodation for seeing games at two of them - Old Trafford in Manchester and the City of Coventry stadium (which is only minutes by train from our serviced apartments in Birmingham). And we have a special offer which could save you 25% on your stay.

Olympic Football at Old Trafford, Manchester
Seven matches will take place at Old Trafford between July 26th and August 7th, 2012. Our Manchester serviced apartments were recently recommended by no less than VisitEngland for the London 2012 matches in Manchester.

Olympic Football at City of Coventry Stadium, Coventry
Eight London 2012 football matches will take place in Coventry between July 25th and August 9th, 2012. Why not combine the footie with a stay in the vibrant Second City? Trains from Birmingham New Street (in the shadow of the Rotunda) take as little as 19 minutes to reach Coventry.

And back at your Staying Cool base you'll be able to enjoy the rest of London 2012 on TV in true style. Make sure that you have the beers chilling in the fridge for when you get back from the match! The apartments are very family-friendly too.

Special offer
We're showing our support for the football at London 2012 by making a very special offer. If you stay at our serviced apartments in Birmingham or Manchester for any of the Olympic football matches at Coventry (or Old Trafford), we will refund 25% of the cost of your apartment for the match night on production of your tickets for the game.
