Visit England Awards for Excellence13 May 2014

We were highly commended at last night's Visit England Awards for Excellence. We are so proud to have made it into the finals for a second year running.

Many congratulations to the gold, silver and bronze winners of the self catering holiday category: Trevase Cottages,  East View Farm Holiday Cottages and  The Dandelion Hideaway. Nettlecomb Farm's Corner Cottage was highly commended alongside Staying Cool.

We're on tenterhooks here at Staying Cool HQ as we find out tonight where we have been placed in the Visit England Awards for Excellence. These awards are very prestigious and seen as tourism's Oscars!

We were thrilled to be shortlisted for self catering for the second year in a row, having won silver last year.  A small team of us are off to Cheltenham Racecourse this evening to hear how we have done again the four other finalists in our category. Please wish us luck!

International Dance Festival10 May 2014

Birmingham's International Dance Festival is back until May 25th. It is one of the largest dance festivals in the world and highly recommended.

Many of the performances take place in the city's theatres, but we love this informal shot taken by the team at the dance festival, just outside the Rotunda.
