The seventh Flatpack Festival takes place in Birmingham next month from 21-31st March.
This film festival comes highly recommended with Time Out describing it as "magnificently eclectic".
The lovely folk at Opus restaurant are opening a new café at Ikon Gallery in Birmingham on February 26th. Cafe Opus should definitely be worth a try.
If you appreciate 'the water of life' then Birmingham's first ever large-scale whisky (and whiskey) festival, WhiskyBirmingham, could be for you.
It takes place on Saturday, March 2nd.
If you are staying with us tomorrow night (Feb 26th) at the Rotunda then we have a recommendation for you. The wonderful Electric Cinema is holding a French Kiss wine tasting.
The film is a comedy from 1995 starring Meg Ryan (at her romcom zenith) Kevin Kline and Jean Reno. The accompanying wine is courtesy of the Wine Tasting Company.
A small number of tickets were still available at the time of writing, but please book in advance.
If you are going to the National Wedding Show in Birmingham as an exhibitor or a visitor, don't forget to take a look at our NEC VIP packages. They'll save you time and money. The show runs from March 1-3 in 2013.
We love the beautiful Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, which is based only a few minutes' walk from the Rotunda. And, on February 15th, you might be able to find love there at their Single's Night.
The event includes gallery tours, music and ice breakers, costs £10 and can be booked online.
You could win in a night in one of our gorgeous penthouses apartments at the Rotunda with Style Birmimgham. Just head on over to their website and click on competitions.
We always encourage visitors to the Rotunda to travel by train as we are a hop, skip and a jump away from Birmingham's two main stations, New Street and Moor Street.
London Midland are currently running their annual Great Escape offer, which is definitely worth checking out.
There is still time to book one of our two very special offers.
Booking code 'Loveclassical'
On February 13th, classical lovers booking into a Mini or Clubman apartment will receive two tickets for Orchestra of the Swan's Young Romantic's concert (2.30pm) and there will be a free bottle of champagne chilling in the apartment on arrival.
Booking code 'Valentine'
Book any apartment at the Rotunda for February 14th, 15th or 16th and receive a free bottle of champagne. Rose petals will be scattered on your bed.
If you are coming to stay with us at the Rotunda take a look at what's showing at The Electric Cinema. It's the most beautiful little cinema tucked around the back of New Street train station.
The Electric has two screens with a great mix of the latest films and more left-field choices. The programme for the next two weeks includes Brief Encounter, Les Mis, Zero Dark Thirty, Hitchcock, Rocky Horror, Rocky, Antiviral, The Birds, Cirque de Soleil and Flight!
The Electric is fully licenced, so you can enjoy a drink during the film and, if you get in early, you can book a VIP sofa and order waiter service by text.
You can take an online tour here. We think that it's worth a visit for the gorgeous interior alone.
