The quite brilliant Supersonic Festival kicks off in Birmingham on Friday and runs until Sunday, 21 October.

The UK's largest exhibiition of ancient Egyptian artefacts on loan from The British Museum will close this month in Birmingham. However, you still have time to catch it at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery - it ends on October 14th.
The museum is just a short walk away from our boutique apart hotel, Staying Cool at the Rotunda.
