We've been cited as The Times' Best City Pads in a review of the best in the UK. Nice pic too (in the printed if not the on-line version). The Martello Tower in Suffolk is also included - a Staying Cool favourite.
Check out our Facebook page for a quick and fun competition. If you know the Birmingham landscape you'll be at a slight advantage but if not, you've probably got just as much of a chance. Think guess the number of smarties in a jar at the school fete! Click here to go our Facebook page to enter.
Where better to say 'I love you' than the top of the Rotunda? Last year we had two proposals on Valentine's and we would love to top that this year. The views, the mood lighting, the beds... all add up to one lovely Valentine's night in. Book on either Friday 12th, Saturday 13th or Sunday 14th for any Birmingham apartment and we'll make sure there's a complimentary bottle of fizz waiting in the apartment for you. Book via the website and we'll do the rest. Rates from £199 all in.
Or should that be frreeeezing new year? Brrrrh! Anyway... we've had more than a few calls asking whether or not we're still open for business in this weather. Of course we are! Aside from one late start last week it's very much business as usual in all destinations. And in Barcleona, it's going to be 11 degrees next week... maybe best to head off there instead... factor in the fact that you're paying in pounds not euros and BA have a sale on, what are you waiting for..?
Yes us! We're listed as the Staying Cool 'design' apartments in Birmingham and Manchester and we've been given a place in the guide on account of our sustainability policies, use of local or fairtrade produce, our wonderful eco-friendly bathroom products and our energy and waste minimisation plans. Hurrah!
We absoutely loved this description of our studio apartments at Rotunda by journalist Ruth Ellen-Davies who stayed two weeks ago. Ruth writes for the travel agent's bible, the World Travel Guide.
"Compact, slick and functional, it felt like we were staying in the apartment equivalent of an iPod Nano."
Does that mean the Penthouse is an iTouch?

We've been shortlisted as one of three finalists in the self-catering / serviced apartments category of the Heart of England - the West Midlands region excellence in tourism awards. It's just us flying both the city of Birmingham and the serviced apartment flags as the other two entrants are cottages in Herefordshire. We'll find out the result on the 29th october. The winners go through to the national finals run by Visit Britain. We're delighted - all our hard work at Rotunda has paid off. Yeah!
Well we weren't expecting this piece of news from our annual quality inspection in Manchester - two apartments were upgraded from four star to five star bringing our total there to five (the rest still being four star). Well done Team Manchester and congratulations to Fresh and Woody!
