Great to see Birmingham's Electric in Shortlist's pick of
Britain's coolest cinemas. The Electric is a
wonderful place just around the corner from Rotunda
and the staff will take great care of you.
The Electric's programming is also very imaginative: this weekend alone, you can choose from Jersey Boys, The Fault In Our Stars, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, American Interior, and Withnail and I. Great stuff.
We're happy to say that we have been given a great review by Cool Places, a new site from the founders of Rough Guides: "It's a fantastic experience to see the City change from day to night while still having the peace of your own private and luxurious sanctuary." You can read the whole piece here.
If you love staying with us, then please take a couple of minutes to write a review on TripAdvisor. We're a small, independent company and sites like TripAdvisor help new guests to find us.
Thank you in advance from all of us at Staying Cool!
Exciting news from our 'corner shop' aka Selfridges Birmingham! Their already brilliant Beauty Hall has been expanded. New counters include Giorgio Armani, Illamasqua, Jo Malone, Kiehl's, Dermalogica, Laura Mercier, NARS, Shu Uemera, Sisley, RMK and SUQQU.
As part of the celebrations, Selfridges have launched The Beauty Project, a six-week long celebration of beauty.
The FIFA World Cup starts today in Brazil. If you are staying with us in June, then throwing some beers in the fridge and enjoying games in your apartment is a great option. However, if you'd like company then heading down to World Cup events from the award-winning Digbeth Dining Club is also recommended.
