Boxworks

Once an old dye works, the building was restored and converted into apartments by one of the country's leading developers, Urban Splash. Staying Cool bought an empty shell (enough for a two bed) and designed its first ever one bedroom apartment here.

The result is a spacious first floor affair with tall ceilings that combine an industrial aesthetic of exposed concrete and steel, with a cool modern minimalism. Very New York loft... It was also given Manchester's first ever five star serviced apartment rating.

It has a large open-plan living and kitchen area, with a bedroom opening onto a wide, comfortably furnished balcony with a stunning, totally glazed, bathroom.

The apartment is in the Castlefield quarter, on the banks of the Bridgewater Canal. You are only moments from Manchester Central and the conference quarter and in less than 15 minutes on foot you're right in the heart of the main shopping area. En route you'll take in some of the city's most interesting boutique shops, plus plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes.
