Cool for Summer

With Summer on the way and the school holidays fast approaching, we have compiled a list of attractions and activities to keep the little ones (and big ones) happy.

From historical exhibitions to rollercoasters, there really is always something for everyone, it doesn't matter if you're here for one night or a whole week..!

A short stroll away:

Fancy being mere inches away from a shark? Why not take a walk through the Sea Life Centre's glass tunnel.

Have your photo taken with a Dalek or try your hand at presenting the weather.

With free entry and enough to keep the kids happy for an afternoon, this is definitely worth a visit.

Take an open-top bus tour of the City Centre and surrounding areas.

Explore these small homes of Birmingham's past spanning 1840's to the 1970's.

Interactive Science exhibits make this worth a visit for any little Einstein's.

Showing the latest films in both 2D and 3D.

A great way to explore the city.

Easy on public transport:

From the Tropical glasshouse to the Japanese Garden, this is a great place to visit when the sun is shining.

A great day out for any budding Button or Hamilton's (that includes Dad too!)

One for the chocaholics in the family, see the history and making of the world's favourite chocolate. (Discounted tickets available).

Further afield (but still reachable via public transport):

One of the UK's biggest Theme Parks, great for both adrenaline junkies and those who prefer the teacups.

See a Victorian town brought to life. The Sweet Shop is an easy way to spend your shillings.
