A spectacular free event called The Voyage will take place in Birmingham from 21 June 2012 - 24 June 2012. This will be an amazing sight! An enormous ship will sail into the centre of Victoria Square docking itself beside the city's Town Hall.
If you'd like to watch The Voyage and stay in style in Birmingham,
we currently have availability for
those nights.
The Voyage, part of the Cultural Olympiad, will take place in Victoria Square which is just minutes away from Staying Cool at the Rotunda.
You'll be able to watch the action unfold onboard the ship and be
caught up in the atmosphere on the ground, where seagulls swoop and
travellers prepare to embark on their journey. When the ship sets
sail, the Town Hall will be transformed by spectacular projected
imagery and the city's skyline will become a dream of undiscovered
worlds.
Professional dancers and aerialists will join forces with a huge choir, live musicians and more than 140 community performers to transform the Square and tell the story.
This outdoor multimedia spectacle is created byMotionhouse, one of the UK's foremost dance theatre companies, and world-renowned physical theatre company Legs On The Wall, from Australia.
