Guests at the Rotunda can enjoy a special exhibition of drawings by Leonarda da Vinci until March 25th, 2012.
The free exhibition at the nearby Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery is part of the Royal Collection. It is touring five UK galleries as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations and Birmingham is the first.
Staying Cool's Rotunda apartments are featured in a Sunday's Times article on self-catering accommodation offering "affordable luxury and added extras".
The piece, by Susan d'Arcy, was published on February 19th and said, "The New York Times recently named our second city as one of the hottest destinations for 2012. (It has more miles of canal than Venice, apparently, although fewer palazzi.) The article waxed lyrical about the culinary scene and the famous balti belt. Its favourite place to stay? Staying Cool's apartments atop the Rotunda, which have bespoke sofas, Macs and Poggenpohl kitchens with espresso machines."
