There's been great excitement here as we have been recommended by The New York Times.
Reporter Mark Vanhoenacker's piece 36 Hours in Birmingham is a fascinating guide to the very best the city has to offer. We're very proud to have been included.
Maureen Flynn, who won our Style Birmingham competition to spend NYE in a Mini apartment, sent us a lovely thank you for her stay with her grandsons. Maureen wrote:
"A great big "thank you" to Staying Cool for a 'flash, bang, wallop!' start to 2012. My grandsons, Logan and Hennessey and I enjoyed a luxurious overnight stay courtesy of Staying Cool in Birmingham's iconic Rotunda. At midnight, as the New Year began, our 19th floor apartment afforded us a brilliant panoramic view as Brummies celebrated in an explosion of colour with their magnificent pyrotechnic displays.
Add to this a truly comfortable night's sleep and a delicious, leisurely breakfast watching as the city awoke, we'll certainly be back. We can truly say we saw 2012 in on a high!"
We have lots of free extras on offer for families at Rotunda including cots and dressing up boxes, check out our Cool for Kids page for details.
