The International Jazz Festival takes place from the 19th of October to December 1st this year.
The Fira de Santa Llúcia market has run in the lead up to Christmas since 1786. You'll find the market close to the city's cathedral (just a few minutes' walk from 39 Steps). It's a great place to pick up decorations and Christmas gifts.
Three Kings' Day or 'Reis Mags' is on Twelfth Night (January 5th, 2014). Reis Mags is the biggest day of celebration for Christmas in Spain and Barcelona puts on a huge procession of floats to celebrate.
Santa Eulàlia, held for five days around February 12th,
commemorates the city's patron saint. You can enjoy free concerts
all over town, processions of giants and fire-running! Many
buildings and museums are free to enter during this period.
