We're giving away free bottles of champagne to parents dropping off kids at university in Birmingham this month. Stay with us and dull the pain in style!
Bullring and Selfridges
Birmingham are ten today. They provide some amazing
shopping opportunities in the city and we provide the perfect place
to stay to make the most of them!
We are right next door to the Bullring and Selfridges, so guests can simply shop and drop.
It's a very proud day for Birmingham as Malala Yousafzai, the teenager shot in the head in Pakistan for championing women's rights, has opened the city's new library.
The building, which to our delight features a series of rotundas, houses the largest lending library in Europe plus much more. You can enjoy a virtual tour courtesy of the BBC's arts editor, Will Gompertz.
Serious cyclist? The huge Cycle Show comes to Birmingham at the end of this month. You can try out every type of bike being exhibited on test tracks, watch the UK's top trials and BMX riders in action, and practice jump tricks or try out Roller Racing on the AirBag.
Birmingham's new library opens next week (September
3rd), just minutes from our boutique apartments at the Rotunda.
It looks well worth a visit.
Fascinating fact: the new library - very contemporary in form - features the Shakespeare Memorial Room, built in 1882. This was originally part of the city's Victorian library, which closed in 1974.
Like our style? Don't miss Midcentury Modern's pop up at the London Design Festival. Oxford Street from 18th-22nd September, 2013.
There are still tickets left for Fusion Festival in Birmingham this weekend. Fusion is a pop festival (Jessie J, The Wanted, JLS...) with day tickets only and strikes us as the perfect pre-school treat for kids/teens.
Fusion is in aid of the Prince's Trust and runs on Saturday, 31st August and Sunday, 1st September.
Many people in England, Wales and N.Ireland are enjoying an extra day off this weekend. If you are one of them, we hope that you have a fabulous time!
We are now on Instagram and we'd love you to join us. You can find the images here.
