Christmas Art Bus29 November 2012

Get on board the Art Bus on Saturday, December 1st! Be transported between Birmingham's finest art galleries, while enjoying some complimentary mince pies.

This free bus will take visitors to the Ikon Gallery, the Barber Institute of Fine Arts, the RBSA Gallery, Eastside Projects and mac Birmingham.

Nativity Trail28 November 2012

The wonderful (and free!) Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery launches its Nativity Art Trail  at 2pm on Friday, 30th November.

From a 16th-century enamel to Pre-Raphaelite favourites, the Nativity Art Trail offers the chance to view the Christmas Story through 500 years of art.

The trail features favourites such as  The Star of Bethlehem by Edward Burne-Jones and a stained glass window made for the Methodist Chapel in Cradley Heath. It  runs until January 6th.

You can also visit Father Christmas in his grotto at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery.
