There are multiple routes you can travel to the city centre from the airport, here are a few options to consider:
Licensed Black Cabs operate a 24-hour, year-round service from directly outside the arrivals area of the terminal building. Each taxi can carry between 5 and 7 passengers (with a limited number of 8 seaters available at no extra charge), with luggage and all are able to take wheelchair passengers.
A customer services representative is available at the taxi rank to assist you with your taxi journey. For journeys in Birmingham and Solihull, a metered fare will be displayed during the trip.
All Licensed Black Cabs accept major debit and credit cards, provide receipts and are the only cabs permitted to operate from the Airport Rank.
Should the driver require a postal code for their SatNav, provide them with postcode: B2 4BB which will take you to Worcester Street, which is located at the rear of the building. Once you arrive, follow the walkway around the building and the main entrance is located next door to Zara which will be on your immediate left.
If you’re planning a trip to the airport from Rotunda, feel free to ask one of our team on reception to book you a taxi for a specific time, we use a local firm which picks up from Worcester Street at the rear of the building. If you’d prefer to use Uber, the postcode for the airport is B26 3QJ, although we must stress that not all Uber drivers agree to pick up from Worcester Street.
Birmingham New Street station is 10 minutes on a direct train, with 7 services per hour from Birmingham International train station.
Use the Air-Rail Link to get from your terminal to Birmingham International station, it takes two minutes to get to the station and operates between 03:30 and 00:30 hours daily. Between 00:30 and 02:00 hours there is a courtesy bus in operation.
Rotunda is just 3 minutes walk from Birmingham New Street station, once in the main station complex, follow signs for the exit opposite the Bullring. Rotunda is the circular tower located to your left when you exit the station, you can’t miss us!
Rotunda is a 20-25 minute drive from Birmingham International airport, which is located around 8 miles east of the city centre. If you’re using a SatNav to get to the airport, the best postcode to use is B26 3QJ.
Birmingham Airport has several on and off-site car parks, motorbike parking, and disabled spaces, all within easy access to the terminal building.
As a major international airport, car parks are always busy, so the best way to guarantee your parking space is to pre-book airport parking direct.
