  1. Ginger’s at Purnell's Bistro, 11 Newhall Street, Birmingham
The recommendation of Tracey, our MD. She’s all about the Pisco Sours (Pisco ABA,  sugar, lime , Chuncho Amargo , egg white). Alex from our team is also a Ginger’s fan, but he opts for The Brumble cocktail (gin, lemon, sugar, blackberries, cassis).

  2. Harvey Nichols The Mailbox, Wharfside Street, Birmingham
The bar at Harvey Nichs is a cool, sophisticated place to enjoy a drink. It’s hard to resist champagne in this environment, but do try a Parisienne (Finlandia vodka, homemade apple and dill cordial, lemon juice, apple juice, egg white and elderflower tonic).

  3. The Alchemist The Grand, Colmore Row, Birmingham
A new cocktail bar for Birmingham and recommended by Cory from our team. The Alchemist offers an extensive cocktails list using “lots of dry ice and interesting ingredients”. Try a LightBulb Moment – Tanqueray Gin, Pimms, ginger beer, raspberry, lemon and mint.

  4. The Botanist 14-16 Temple Street, Birmingham
Janie likes The Botanist but claims that a lot of their drinks are “almost too pretty to drink”. As the name suggest, The Botanist is big on botanical cocktails. The English Mojito is a long cocktail for gin lovers (Tanqueray gin, cucumber and mint, fresh lime juice, sugar syrup, green apple liqueur and apple juice.

  5. Bar Opus One Snowhill, Birmingham
Rum cocktails are divine and Bar Opus serves up a mighty fine Hemmingway Daiquiri (Havana 7 rum, Luxardo liqueur, grapefruit).  If someone in your party isn’t a fan of alcoholic drinks then mocktails are also available.

  6. Asha’s 12-22 Newhall Street Birmingham
Danny  recommends Asha’s - also an excellent Asian restaurant - for “a quick cheeky cocktail”. He loves their Passion Collins (crushed ice, vodka and fresh passionfruit).
