We have had to make some changes to our usual service to help keep you and our team safe in this time of Coronavirus. Here is a handy guide to help you plan your stay at Rotunda.
Before your stay
To ensure we comply with the government’s NHS Test and Trace system we need you to complete all relevant information on your booking. You can add details directly using the on-line check-in invitation email you will have received. Please check all fields are complete. Please do get in touch if you have any problems.
On a lighter note, if you are travelling with children then do let us know their ages so we can provide a welcome gift for them.
Please ensure you are safe to travel. If you have any of the symptoms of COVID 19, please do not travel. We will ask you this again on arrival.
By train: Rotunda is right next to the Bullring Shopping Centre – a 3 minute walk from both New Street and Moor Street train stations.
By car: We offer discounted parking at the Bullring’s car park – the closest being the Centre car park (SatNav code: B5 4BU). Parking costs £15 per night compared to the standard £25 for 8+ hours. This offer gives you one exit from the car park per night of your stay. If you wish to exit more than once then you will benefit from 25% off the prevailing short stay rate. There is no need to pre-book, you’ll simply need to swap your entry ticket with us on arrival.

What to bring with you
ID: your driving licence or passport
Debit or credit card that you used to pay: we take your deposit from the same card
Face mask: although not mandatory, the government is recommending that all guests wear a face covering in the public areas of hotels
24 Flexible Rate: We will take your room payment at 12 noon, 24 hours prior to your stay – you must bring the same payment card with you to check-in. At reception we will only take your stay deposit via chip and pin.
Pay Now: you will have paid when you made your booking.
We take a security deposit which is processed as a preauthorisation of your credit/debit card. No monies are taken in advance and the pre-authorisation is released on check-out day. The amount depends on your apartment type.
• Mini/Clubman £125 – £250
• Maxi/Penthouse: same as your booking rate with a minimum of £250 and a maximum of £500
Your apartment will be ready by 3pm at the latest. However, to avoid having too many guests at reception at any one time we will text you as soon as your apartment is ready. If you can then text back your estimated arrival time we can book a check-in slot for you. Concierge check-in is open until 10pm thereafter it will be with Security. If you are planning to arrive after this time, please get in touch.
When you arrive at reception we will have your keys ready for you in a sanitised container. We will take any outstanding payments by chip and pin (the machine will be cleaned before and after we ask you to pop in your card) and we’ll scan your ID from above so we don’t need to touch it.
Unfortunately due to current COVID restrictions we cannot look after your luggage prior to check-in or on departure in the way we used to.
Moving around Rotunda
Please remember to keep social distancing in mind and only walk about and travel in lifts with your guests. Follow any floor markings and use the automatic hand sanitiser pumps located throughout the building.
We’ve taken extra measures to protect against COVID 19. More detailed information is available in our accreditation from Visit England and iSAAP.
We’ll prepare your apartment prior to arrival based on the number of guests staying overnight, for example, if you are travelling alone, we’ll set the apartment for one person. However, if you do run out of anything please do request more during concierge hours (8am to 10pm).
We have tried to leave as many items in the apartment as possible but we’ve removed the bed throw for example as an added precaution. Everything is being thoroughly cleaned after each guest stay but we would always advise washing your hands before and after touching things like books and games as an added precaution.
Face-coverings and PPE
When we move around the building to clean apartments etc you will see us wearing masks and gloves. The government has asked us to advise you to wear a face mask when in communal areas.
During your stay
We’ll have a smaller team per shift as we get back into the swing of things but we are still contactable as usual. Email or phone us on 0121 285 1250.
To ensure you have a fantastic time, while staying safely, you must not allow other guests to enter your apartment or indeed enter the apartment of another guest. Only those staying overnight will be given access to the building. We ask that you only enjoy bubbles in your bubble!
The apartment is all yours until 12 noon on departure day. To keep reception as clear as possible, you simply need to pop your keys in the box at reception and then exit the building. We’ll be there to wave you off.
If you have any questions, we ask that you call us on 0121 285 1250 before leaving the apartment, rather than at the desk if you can.
Your deposit will be returned to the card that you used to pay with so we don’t need to see your card again. The hold on the card will be released within 0-5 working days, depending on your bank’s own policy.
