Dining In
We try to work with local suppliers to bring you organic, free range, regionally-procured or Fairtrade food & drink.
Complimentary In-apartment supplies
Coffee, tea and hot chocolate
You will find English breakfast tea, green and peppermint teas in the kitchen.
There’s also a pint of milk in your fridge. Our fresh milk is locally produced on a farm between Birmingham and Coventry. Ideally, we would have an organic local supplier but such a product doesn’t exist yet! If you run out of anything, just ask at reception and we’ll re-stock your fridge.
Illy espresso machine & cafetière coffee
Good coffee makes a great start to the day. That’s why every apartment has a Francis Francis Y3 Espresso Maker with illy coffee.
Simple instructions are printed on a sheet next to the espresso machine. Don’t forget to switch it on at the wall and flick the little switch at the side of the machine.
We also provide Bodum milk frothers for those who love a cappuccino or latte. If you prefer a long black just mix your espresso with slightly cooled boiled water.
If filter coffee is more your thing, we work with local coffee roasters Quarter Horse to bring you fresh ground coffee for your cafetière. You’ll find both next to the espresso machine ready for brewing.
In a hurry? Eco compostable takeaway cups and lids are provided if you would like your coffee to go.
Juicer
You’ll find oranges and grapefruit for the juicer in the fridge, the perfect combo for a great glass of chilled juice.
- Plug in the electric juicer
- Halve your oranges and grapefruit
- Gently press the halves down on the juicer and voila.
Just a word about the oranges and grapefruit. We select them especially for juicing so while they may not look the prettiest or feel the firmest they do make good juice.
We try to avoid waste so we choose regular deliveries and don’t put too many in your fridge at once. If you would like more during your stay (they’re free!) just let us know. And if you know you aren’t going to use them, please do let us know that too.
Kitchen essentials
You will find cold-pressed rapeseed oil (suitable for both salads and high-temperature frying) plus balsamic vinegar next to the hob along with sea salt and black pepper grinders for seasoning. Just a few kitchen essentials in case you fancy cooking up a storm during your stay.
Tuck Shop
Feeling peckish but too comfy to move? Fear not, the Staying Cool Tuck Shop is here to save the day!
We’ve bundled together a few of our favourite snacks and refreshments from some small, independent suppliers, so you don’t have to move far to satisfy that sweet or savoury craving. Peruse the in-apartment menu and help yourself. We’ll add the cost to your booking total when you depart, charge your card and email you the receipt.
As always, if there’s something from the tuck shop you really like and happen to run out of, contact us on reception and we’ll get you topped up.
Booking extra treats
Add food and drink for your apartment when booking or email our guest relations team and avoid dashing to the shops as soon as you arrive! We’ve bundled together some of our favourite food combos below that we think you might like, but if there’s something specific you’re after, all you have to do is ask.
So we can source the very best ingredients, please book at least 24 hours before arrival and make us aware of any allergies that should be considered as part of your order.
All items are organic and/or Free Trade where available. Products may differ from time-to-time or seasonally due to availability.

Food and meal deliveries

The delivery company will need to ring 123 on arrival at the external door and we will then direct them up to your apartment.
Top tip: Insist that they park in the Rotunda’s loading bay and deliver to your door. Sometimes they cheekily try to make you go out to meet them!
