Directions to Rotunda
Rotunda has been described as ‘the pin in the centre of the map of Birmingham’.
Our building entrance is on the pedestrianised part of New Street, right next to the Bullring shopping centre entrance.
Now that’s super-central!
We don’t have parking at Rotunda but we have a super-discounted rate of just £15.00 a night in any of the Bullring’s car parks.
The closest of these is the Bullring Centre car park which is accessed via Smallbrook Queensway (Sat Nav postcode B5 4BU). It’s then about a 250m walk to our front door – depending on where you park!
Please note: the Bullring Centre car park closes at midnight and doesn’t reopen until 7am, Monday to Saturday and 8am on Sundays. If this doesn’t work for you, do let us know and we’ll help you find an alternative place to park, alas it won’t be covered by our discounted tickets.
Just follow the signs for Debenhams and park as close to the lift-lobby as you can. Then take the lift to level 2. Once you come out of the lift head for Gap (on your left). With Gap on your left, walk straight ahead and exit the Bullring.
The Bronze Bull is in front of you and our entrance is directly ahead (on your left) between Zara Women and Carphone Warehouse.
Going to Birmingham Airport, London, or just fancy travelling in style? We have negotiated special rates for guests. Please contact reception for details.
If you’re arriving by taxi or want to unload your luggage, our nearest drop-off point is on Worcester Street. (Sat Nav postcode B2 4BB).
During your stay we recommend using 24/7 Taxis, they accept cash and card and will pick you up from the rear of the building. The team on reception can book this for you, so please don’t hesitate to ask. Black cabs are available around the city centre, with the nearest taxi rank located outside New Street station. Uber also operates around the city centre should you wish to use your Uber app.
We’re just a three-minute walk from both New Street and Moor Street Stations.
Directions to Rotunda from New Street Station (also known as Grand Central)
From platform level follow the signs to the Main Exit (taking the escalators or lifts) and go through the ticket barriers.
Follow the signs to the Moor Street exit (also signposted Bullring), going through the huge atrium area with its bubble roof, to the exit with the Oliver Bonas store to your left.
Once outside, if you look slightly to your left and up, you’ll see the Rotunda’s circular tower with a large Bullring sign on the top. Walk towards us via either the pedestrian walkway with the planted wall or past the bus stops.
This will bring you to the rear of Rotunda on Worcester Street.
You will see some steps and a ramp with blue rails. Walk up here, going along the side of Zara.
Once at the top, turn left. Our entrance is between Zara (womenswear) and Carphone Warehouse.
Directions to Rotunda from Moor Street Station
From Moor Street Station, cross the road out of the station and turn left.
You’ll see a ramp that will take you past ARKET into Rotunda Square. In front of you, you’ll see Zara Women. Our entrance is just to the right.
Birmingham airport is the nearest airport to Rotunda.
The airport is 25 minutes away in a taxi – or just nine minutes via train to New Street Station.
Trains run approximately every ten minutes between the Birmingham Airport and New Street Station and Rotunda is just a three-minute walk from there.
We offer a discounted parking scheme (£15.00 per night compared to the standard £25.00 for 8 hours+) at any of the Bullring car parks. This offer gives you one exit from the car park per night you stay with us. If you wish to exit more than once then we offer 25% off the short stay rates. More information on Bullring car park can be found here.
Simply park up as normal and exchange your issued car parking ticket for one of ours when you check in. We can’t retrospectively refund monies, so please do swap your ticket on check-in rather than check-out to be safe.
The nearest of the Bullring car parks is Centre which is roughly 300m away beneath the Bullring and the Rotunda. It is open from 06:30 am to midnight (from 8.30am on Sundays). If you are arriving or departing outside of these opening hours, please let us know and we will advise on where to park.
If you have very heavy luggage then please feel free to use our loading bay to drop it off before you park up. Please email us or call us on +44 (0)121 285 1250 to arrange.
Just an FYI, if you want to use your car during your stay, it may be cheaper to pay-as-you-go. Also, the carpark closes at Midnight and doesn’t reopen until 7 am, Monday to Saturday and 8 am on Sundays. If this doesn’t work for you, do let us know and we’ll help you find an alternative place to park, alas it won’t be covered by our discounted tickets.
How to find us from the car park:
Directions to Rotunda if you are arriving before 11.30pm (7 days a week):
- Park as near to the Debenhams entrance as possible, on the left as soon as you enter the car park
- When on foot go through the glass doors marked West Mall and Debenhams and take the lift to Level 2.
- From the lift, walk straight ahead past Gap until you are in the main mall (keep to the left).
- You will walk past the Gap and Goldsmiths. Exit the mall, here you should see the famous Bull statue just outside.
- Carry on walking forward past Hollister. The entrance to the Rotunda is just after Zara (Womenswear) and before Carphone Warehouse (Keep to the left). We are the tall cylindrical building with ‘Bullring’ on the top.
- Press ‘123’ on the buzzer panel to contact Guest Relations.
Directions to Rotunda if you are arriving after 11.30pm (7 days a week):
- We would recommend parking a little further into the car park (under Selfridges), as after these times the Debenhams lift is closed, unfortunately, this does mean a slightly longer walk.
- Once out of the lift on the 1st floor of the mall, you will need to walk between Costa and Burger King and through the glass doors.
- From here walk towards Chaopharaya Thai restaurant and turn right to go up the ramp between the two halves of the Bullring.
- Once at the top, the entrance to the Rotunda is between Zara (womenswear) and Carphone Warehouse (as pictured below).
- Press ‘123’ on the buzzer panel to contact Concierge.
