Cooking Cool

Planning to stay with us in Birmingham? We've launched an initiative called Cooking Cool, which provides all that you need to create delicious two-course meals in the privacy of your apartment. Sample a tastebud tantalising meal with stunning views!

Cooking Cool is the result of our partnership between chef Alex Claridge and Staying Cool serviced apartments. Alex, formerly of the The Warehouse Café is Creative Director of Urban Coffee and the founder of The Wilderness and Edible Brum magazine.   

  • With Cooking Cool, you can make a delicious meal hassle-free with no planning or shopping for ingredients. We'll ensure that you have all the locally sourced ingredients and equipment to hand to create superb seasonal recipes.

  • All the Cooking Cool ingredients and recipes cost just £25 (serves two) and can be ordered in advance only when you book your apartment. Simply order as part of the booking process and we'll have everything ready for you on arrival. Please note that we require at least 48 hours notice to ensure we can source fresh seasonal ingredients. 


For the main course you can choose between:

Roast Gressingham duck breast served with braised red cabbage, parsnip, crushed potatoes, blackberry chutney.


Roast cod, baked beetroot, squash puree, kale and tender stem broccoli.
